Re: Adding the shaping points

Hmmm ... that shouldn't happen. If you duplicate a route you can make changes without affecting the original, even if it's in the same folder. Exactly what change did you make? I've experimented more with Duplicates. The changes in a duplicate will not be lit in the original and V/S. So you can rem...

I expanded the route by adding few more miles to it. Yes, the Copy vs the Duplicate is confusing. Although, I suspect that...

Re: Adding the shaping points

Thanks, but what's the purpose of Copy if it repeat all changes of the original? Recently I made a Duplicate of my route (in the same directory). I made a small change in it, but it still replicated that change in the original route. Only when I made a different subfolder and moved the Duplicated ro...

Re: Adding the shaping points

Yes, I know that for the round trip we shell put the starting point a bit farther away (BTW in the older models if you starting to ride farther away from the starting point, it would realize it and ask if you want to go back or to continue). If using the method which @Ikarus described when you place...

Re: Adding the shaping points

Thank you both! The Escape worked! Yes I use the pencil. I'll check others options mentioned as well. I sometimes too use first and last point and then shaping the route, but even after it's done, you can decide sometimes to add points between. Or what if it's a round trip? Sometimes I start a route...

Adding the shaping points

I'm trying to add shaping points in-between ones already there. So starting between say A and B. All goes fine and the string pulls between these points and I click on the road between them. Now, I want to reposition and add shaping points between say D and E s-points, but the string is still at the...

Re: Zumo xt2 screen unresponsive

I hope Garmin is aware of the significance for the affected users and works hard to research the cause and fix it. Then I hope that Garmin also informs us with which batch the problem is fixed. I myself will have to contact Garmin again regarding the unresponsive touch. My 2nd XT2 has not held 500k...

Re: Tracks vs Routes/Trips

So if you're saving a file on your PC as .gpx which you made in BC, then connecting the XT to the PC via USB and moving the gpx file into XT2 /gpx/ directory - does the XT2 still use Tread, or makes a direct move to XT2? If the latest, then you in business. Just remember to put enough shaping points...
