Re: Paring XT as a phone. Any downsides?

Thanks Peter, that's enough information for me to search more specifically through the Cardo documentation.
I did find the ability to bluetooth link the Garmin as a GPS or ,um, Not GPS, so I'll be testing those shortly. It uses the button interface, so it's a bit cryptic.

Best,

Re: Paring XT as a phone. Any downsides?

Thanks, pjotr, you have exactly described a problem that I am having with my Zumo XT and Cardo Freecom Plus. Can you elaborate on this statement, ie how it is accomplished? "When I connect the Sena headset as an gps pairing with the zumo XT I can hear the gps and the intercom at the same time.&...

12 days on the road with MyRoute-App and Zumo XT

I purchased the Garmin and signed up for a lifetime MRA membership to prepare for an annual motorcycle trip with my wife. We visited some old familiar places, and found many new routes that we'd like to return to another time. The bike is a 2008 BMW R1200RT. We used an older Cardo Q3 intercom, and i...

Re: Finally got a Zumo and found the forum

Hi HipG: I'm also in the Great Lakes Area, specifically Ann Arbor, MI. Purchased the Zumo for my BMW R1200RT. I'm experimenting with various tools to build and download points and routes to the Zumo. I have used Basecamp and MyRoute-App, still learning what I can do with external apps and the device...

Re: Data loss synching with Explore

All sounds correct, jfheath, and is consistent with my testing. I've used Basecamp a bit, I got past some of the initial learning curve by watching the New England Riders tutorial. But I'm looking for cable-free route download to the Zumo, and a mobile (tablet) app that I could use on the road. I'm ...

Re: Data loss synching with Explore

I'm coming around to that opinion regarding Explore. I've disabled it on the Zumo. I'll be off the bike for a bit, due to a broken arm from a motocross incident. So I'm learning about routes, tracks, the MyRoute-app and synching to the Zumo XT.

Re: Data loss synching with Explore

OK, partially true. Categories added to saved places in the Zumo XT WILL be removed when the XT is synched with Explore, and the UI in the XT no longer has the option of adding a category. I believe the address loss I reported was due to exporting data from Explore to a file, and loading that file i...

Data loss synching with Explore

I've just completed transferring saved places from my Nuvi to my new Zumo Xt using Express app on Win10 desktop via USB. I edited the entries on the Zumo, and added 'category' information; restaurants, hospital, sports venues. Everything looked great. I then connected to the Garmin Express website. ...
