Re: New xt2 ... using mra 1.1gpx problem with routes not importing

Something I remember being bit by is choosing Closest entry point for a loop route in which start and end were the same. CEP made it the shortest ride ever. I was at the end before I left my driveway. I have also had CEP want to take me backwards a long way when using it to try to join a route ...

Re: Damaged Electrical Connector

I had a cable pin failure. The pin is spring loaded, sliding in and out inside a sleeve. Mine looked like the sleeve had split allowing the pin to lay over. I could straighten it up and it would make contact and work, but it wouldn't stay. Fortunately I had an old style cable so Garmin replaced it ...

JS_racer , I noticed your profile shows Minnesota as you location but I immediately recognized those map images as Franklin, NC. That is great riding country. The one time I have laid a bike down while moving was on Wayah Rd not far from Franklin (low sided on wet leaves in a curve). That was about ...

Re: How do you preserve a track's shape when adding waypoints?

Since the route source was a track, I would not be surprised if any modification to the route triggers that notice. Understand that if you add a POI to the route, Basecamp is going to recalculate the route because it considers that addition a change, without regard for the fact that the change ...

Re: Zumo XT not following route

haug37 , one of my riding buddies has a Nav 6 while I have an XT. We experience what you describe regarding difference in routes between the two devices. We both create routes, and we both include and excessive number of route points in an attempt to get the devices to follow the same route. The ...

Re: Combined BC Map and Dialogue table.

The table will stay open and reflect changes made in the map window with the hand(pan) tool. So the map can be panned, zoomed, the route dragged around on the map, via/shaping points added (depending on drop location) or moved - all while the route table stays open. It won't stay open when you use ...

Re: Combined BC Map and Dialogue table.

AFIK, there is no way to display the route details window (eg: Route Dialogue table) while working on the map. It closes as soon as the map pane gets focus. I can see your point about the convenience of being able to keep it open but for me, I only open it once I'm done with the route, as a final ...

Re: New route created without Start/End waypoints

Well, I have figured out that when the New Route tool is selected, the Insert took is active. I thought I had selected the Waypoint tool but apparently I missed because I can duplicate the new route creation by simply by repeatedly placing route points on the map using the active Insert tool. Some ...

New route created without Start/End waypoints

I was playing around in Basecamp and had clicked the "New Route" toolbar button. The "New Route" window opened and not having seen this before I just had to give it a try. Thinking I could create and drag a Waypoint from the map, I attempted that, first selecting the Waypoint tool and then ...
