Re: Loaded routes

It would be interesting to see anything you spot with the route, I've seen similar before but wasn't sure what had happened. I'm OK, just hobbling with a (hopefully) bruised foot, and getting a bit stiff from hitting the ground. Pretty sure the bikes a right off there's too much broken plastic to re...

Re: Loaded routes

OK, tried again and had the same result. Having planned the route, then loaded and imported it to the Zumo, I select the route, before heading off from home, which is about 10 miles from the the route start point start point, I pick the start point at Lewes, and the Zumo navigates to the start. Whil...

Re: Loaded routes

Thanks for getting back. I didn't think it would loose the active route either! It definitely happened, I'd planned the route which started on some well known roads, avoiding some roadworks. My route was going to take a roundabout/cross county ride of just over an hour. First thing I noticed was my ...

Re: Loaded routes

I think it's a track, exported from MRA as GPX 1.1 which MRA say is track and POI.

Loaded routes

I loaded up a route (from MyRoute) and set about following it, Garmin asks if it should navigate to the start or beginning. Obviously I pick start. Soon after starting the route I stop to fill with petrol and let the Garmin switch off when I stop the bike. What I was not aware of previously is that ...

Re: How to recalc route on the fly

I'd beware of the auto recalculate function as it doesn't return you to a planned route (I believe the newer XT has this option?) I turn it off so I've not tried it for a while, but I think auto recalculate will take you direct to the final destination or the next waypoint I don't recall which. When...

Re: Up Ahead

I don't think you can, like you I'd like and have tried to display just the petrol stations, but there's no 'blank' option.

Re: Cardo Packtalk and OK Google

I don't use it, but I did get it working.
The phone needs to be unlocked.
IIRC you press the bottom button on PT and do the 'OK Google' thing after a barely audible beep.
Might be wrong but I believe the later PT Bold is better for accessing Google using the 'hey Cardo' activation.

Re: route planner

I recommend doing all planning in My Route, particularly good to share around others using Tom Tom.
I heard it's got expensive recently though!

Re: Traffic data in Europe: Garmin vs TomTom, which is better?

My OEM sat nav in the car is Tom Tom, and I'm guessing it receives traffic data over FM radio, as there's no SIM card. In my experience it's not very good, and in typical Tom Tom fashion it's not logically displayed, apart from the offer to re route and avoid the problem which is a simple yes/no, bu...
