@Peobody Internet availability is a good point! In my area Netherlands, Germany usually Ok. Some of the options I mentioned, like Google Drive, allow files to be available 'offline'. (Stored on your phone) Now that’s interesting. Storing on the phone could be useful. I’ve never used Google Drive.

I did the same thing exactly and got the same confirmations. Except I don't see anything listed under SAVED TRIPS or in the IMPORT list. Where exactly in the Trip Planner did you find it? Was it just listed automatically or did you have to import it?

No luck with that. At least by rebooting you mean turning it fully off and then back on.
