Re: Being forced to go back to a waypoint
Basecamp makes it quick and easy to verify that your route points are properly placed on the road. Open the route to see the list of route points. Check the "Center map" box on the lower left. Select the first point, the map will automatically pan and zoom to center and highlight the point...

Re: 2025.10 Maps on Zumo 550
City Navigator North America has grown to over 5 GB.
I suspect the "clone" USB has more storage capacity than a 550.

Re: Bit of Help please
I think you are selecting too much.
As @rbentnail said, Bottom left, select only the individual item(s) you want to include.
Then File>Export>Export Selection

Re: Other satnavs
Basecamp works just fine with free Open Street Maps (.gmap format), and TomTom does contribute to OSM. I'm uncertain about the practicality and limitations of using a .GPX file in a TomTom, or converting a .GPX to an .ITN file. ITNConverter used to work but it has been decades since I played with it.

Re: MP3 Music Playlist creator needed
I've verified that this method using VLC and the card reader to create a playlist for the folder on the card does work when the card is replaced in my XT: Create M3U Playlist in VLC Media Player I've also verified that MediaMonkey (MM) can also create the playlist, though the method to to create the...

Re: MP3 Music Playlist creator needed
(continuing, hit Submit instead of Preview...) I created the playlists one folder at a time, entering a title for each manually. It might be possible to automate the process in MediaMonkey with a script but after fifteen years with MM, it is beyond my ability. (I can crop a picture in Photoshop, bu...

Re: MP3 Music Playlist creator needed
Unlike the 660 and 59x Garmins, the XT and XT2 cannot act as "mappable" drives. Windows file managers see them as a media device, but they are never assigned a drive letter (C:\, D:\, etc.). That is a problem for most programs. I think you will have many more options if you remove the micr...

Re: No Album Art via Bluetooth
I have had problems with album art in the past after copying and pasting, I have a lot of MP3s now who think they are Brenda Lee's Jump the Broomsticks, they are not, well obviously Brenda Lee's Jump the Broomsticks is but the rest have her Album Art. It has never bothered me so I have not looked f...

Re: No Album Art via Bluetooth
I think the problem with the controls is more important than the lack of album art. You might want to look at the permissions settings for the apps on your phone(s). I've had issues when "Remove permissions if app is unused" is activated. Turning that feature off and then granting permissi...

Re: Dots Vs Flags
Drag and drop to a location along a road and you create a via point (with alert). Drag and drop to an intersection and you create a shaping point (no alerting). Don't drop at an intersection where you might actually want to turn. Open (right click or double click on route name) a route to see and ch...
