Re: Need Italy on a USA Zumo XT2 ?
Garmin City Navigator Europe NTU maps will cost about $100. They are available for download or on microSD card. The download is locked to work only with your particular XT2, the card version is copy protected. Using either in Basecamp requires that you connect the XT2 via USB. Neither can be update...

Re: Service Provider Needed?
I haven't yet finished reading all that has been posted. That is going to take a couple of days. You might need more than "a couple" days. Some of the XT behaviors are not what you might expect. You will definitely want to read all twelve sections of this post in order to understand how t...

Re: Hello from Bristol...!
Just put a new SD card in the XT and turn it on. It does the formatting for you. I've never been able to get the XT to format a card. I think it might format a blank card, but it seems like all the cards I've purchased recently have arrived pre-formatted as exFAT, and the XT will not recognize or r...

Re: Shaping/way points and GPS reception
When you start a route, the Zumo first calculates a route from your current location to the selected Start point. The Zumo did not know where you where until it acquired a signal, so it sent you to that point first before beginning the planned route.. That's one reason why it is best to plan your ro...

Re: How Do I Remove Excess Themes?
I have just enough computer skills to be dangerous, literally. I understand zero of what you are saying. I just want know how to remove the excess themes from my XT. I connect it to my Win11 laptop and go to zumoXT/internal storage/themes/map. The names of the files I see do not match the names of ...

Re: How Do I Remove Excess Themes?
Your duplicates are probably using different file names, but the displayed name is actually contained in the file. Likely the theme was modified in a text editor and saved with a different file name, but the <TITLE> field was not changed. Every theme begins with a section like this: <?xml version=&q...

Re: Making Track visible on the Map
I rely on voice instructions for long stretches, so I can easily miss seeing the track diverge from my route. Using a wide, black track puts a border on the route, giving me reassurance that I am still on route. If I don't see the border when I do look at the screen, I know I've gone astray. I've a...

Re: Making Track visible on the Map
The option to display the track is not available if you are using Explore. That's one of the reasons many of us do not use Explore at all. There are detailed instructions here somewhere to disable Explore, but I think it involves removing the Explore app from your phone, a reset of the XT to restore...

Re: Can not get cams to show up on map..
There is probably a better way, but I usually take a peek at the files with a good text editor. (For windows - Notepad++)
There is usually some clear text in the first few lines that tells me what is in the file.
