Re: XT routing offroad despite avoidances
I would look at the routable maps that are checked in 'MyMaps'.
Keep City Navigator checked. Uncheck others like Topo, or OSM.

Re: Trip Planner Routes
Do you have a clue why a newly saved route on the XT sorts to the top? I'm guessing! The newly created route has a new begin point. That new begin point will have the mArrival field set to zero. Will need testing. I haven't tested whether doing this as a way to flip the mimport bit also sort to the...

Re: Trip Planner Routes
The mArrival bytes in the .trip file may be a red herring as far as this is concerned. John, I may not have explained it quite correctly. The mArrival field is stored for every Begin/Via/Shaping and End point. The sorting of the trips, routes, rowts or whatever you pronounce them, is done on the mA...

Re: Trip Planner Routes
If Trips (what we have been calling "routes") are sorted by date/time, what date/time is being used? The .trip files have, for every Shaping/Via/Begin and End point, a field called 'mArrival'. This field is set to nonzero if a BC route has the departure date/time set. Unfortunately it is ...

Re: Trip Planner Routes
I know that this post is about trips (routes) and not tracks, but just to confirm. I agree that trips are Sorted on date/time, but Tracks are sorted on proximity. This is something to keep in mind when you start a trip and want to display the corresponding track (with the same name as the trip) on t...

Re: Trip Planner Routes
@Peobody
Very unlikely that changing the mimported byte has an effect.
But to change it, you have to 'save' the trip file on the XT, thereby changing the file date. Maybe that has a side effct?

Re: After map updating routs do not match roads
1. Send them again from Basecamp to the XT. (Delete them first on the XT to be sure)
2. On the XT. Change the calculation method to 'Direct/ Straight lines' and then back to faster time.
For multiple routes I prefer option 1.

Re: After map updating routs do not match roads
After a map update, ALWAYS recalculate your routes! No IF's, no BUT's.
Unless you like challenges of course.

Re: Basecamp and via points/shaping points
I think @FrankB's investigation int subclasses may find this useful - unless subclasses are only set after import. Thanks for the pointer John. Running out of time lately, so dont think I will investigate much! Just a few questions: - Does this also apply to the XT. (The topic is in the XT2 section...
