- 8 Route Points - The same coordinates for every test
- 8 Via Points (start and end), No shaping points
- All Route points given a name starting a number 01, .... , 08.
- 8 Waypoints with same coordinates are displayed to show original locations.
- No Waypoints are used in this route.

The Test
- To see if route point names change
- To see if the route changes
- To see whether route points move
- To observe different behaviour between Via and Shaping Point
- To observe any differences if Tread is involved.
The Results
- Pic 1: Shows the original route point data compared witht he list from the XT2 screen immediately after importing the route.
- Pic 1: Only two points have retained their original name (one is different from Test 01)
- Pic 2: The Via point flags which are part of the route coincide with the yellow waypoints
- Pic 2: The Waypoints (yellow triangles) are NOT part of the route. They are just shown on the screen for reference.
- Pic 2: The route points do not appear to have moved a great deal. Inspecting the coordinates reveals a slight change to the lat/long coordinates - less than 2 metres.

Test Route 02 - Via Points - Tread Active
Ater Synching Route 02 with Tread.
- The route contains 8 Via Points and no shaping points
- No waypoints are used in this route - but waypoints are used on the display to show the original locations of the route points.
- The Route was imported and allowed to synch
- Not all syncronisation happens immediately so I waited and then forced synch on the phone app AND on the XT2.
- Waited for at least two orange Explore synch symbols and two blue circle synch symbols
- Android Tread version 3.00.06 17 Feb 2026
The Results - Tread Active
- Pic 3: Shows that the via point names are altered.
- Pic 4: Shows that all via points seem to be in the correct location relative to the waypoint markers.
- Pic 4: Shows the route plotted along the roads that I intended
- Pic 5: Shows a close up of the area where the previous test route ahd moved to the M6. No such change here.
- The route has not changed much at all. Further inspection revelaed that route points HAD moved - but only slightly - 0.01 minutes longitude. About 1.5 metres !
