204 Imported Route - Ignore Via Point - a route point was 'Skipped' earlier in the route.
Watch and Listen
- The change in brightness of the magenta line. The route as a whole is a dull magenta colour. But the section of the route that I am currently following is much brighter. You can see the difference as I approach the flag.
- The on the distance values in the Trip data display on the right.
- The route behind disappears once I have gone past the Via point and the route has recalculated.
This is a surefire way of triggering RUT behaviour if I deviate from the route at any time in the future. After pressing Skip, the entire route is recalculated between - but still passing the route points. RUT behaviour has been observed in other circumstances - but skipping and later deviating form the route nearly always triggers it.
I did the same thing with the Saved route - just to make the tests the same.
- If I have a Via points, then it is a stopping place - eg a location for my lunch break. This suggests that in certain circumsatnces, the XT will remove my mid morning break from the route - if I cannot get to it - due to roadworks perhaps.
- If I have deliberately not followed the instructions to visit a Via, then I clearly have no intention of going to it. Therefore get rid of it.
